Get FHIIT is the fitness side of Heal Wellness. Lisa currently offers Personal Training predominantly online but can accomodate face to face personal training either at your gym or a location suitable to both Lisa & you the client. Lisa specialises in training Women, and is currently completing studies to become a Menopause Training Specialist. Lisa believes and knows from personal experience that age is no barrier. After experiencing many health changes during her journey through menopause, and being sick and tired of being told, it is what it is just accept it, Lisa decided not to listen and to educate and research. You can be healthy, fit, pain free and healthy at any age, you just need someone that will listen to you and what your body needs. Lisa can also accomodate corporate packages

We all know that we are meant to do it. But do you really know why?​

Physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. ​

Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. But most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life and ultimately we all want to live an amazing life.

If you are regularly physically active, you may:

A HEALTHIER STATE OF MIND

There is a multitude of studies that have found that exercise helps depression. There are many views as to how exercise helps people with depression:

  • Exercise may block negative thoughts or distract you from daily worries. 

  • Exercising with others provides an opportunity for increased social contact. 

  • Increased fitness may lift your mood and improve your sleep patterns. 

  • Exercise may also change levels of chemicals in your brain, such as serotonin, endorphins and stress hormones.

The key to staying healthy is to rethink what exercise means to you. Instead of thinking of it only as a designed workout, cardio, or weight lifting program, aim for living a less sedentary lifestyle overall. Use moments and emotions that drive you to WANT to be healthier and to be better. The more you want it, the more you will find enjoyment in it and the easier changing your health & fitness will be.

As a nutrition and fitness professional I see so many people wondering aimlessly around the gym, with no real training direction, not using what they have access too to their ability, not setting goals BUT still expecting to get results.....

You don’t have to be an athlete, play a sport or be training for a body comp to have a good well laid out plan based on what you would like to achieve in the gym or at home. Utilising the services of a fitness professional like myself can and will help you to achieve your goals in a more time efficient way, reduce the risk of injury and increase your knowledge so you can start training on your own sooner.
